In the View tab you are able to switch between the simple view, the draft view and the print layout by clicking on the particular symbol. In the draft view a horizontal ruler will be inserted automatically and in the print layout a horizontal and vertical ruler. With a click on the ruler symbols you can deactivate this setting any time.

 

In the case that you want to zoom out of or in the section you are looking at go on the particular symbol.

 

If you do not want to display the data explorer on the right you can easily deactivate it by clicking on windows and data explorer. In order to activate it again go on windows and data explorer.

 

For the fields that were added with the data explorer you can display the names of the certain parts of the field, for example a ListHeader, by clicking on Highlight. If you selected ListHeader you can get to the settings by clicking on the list tab. For DataRow elements you go to the field tab.The explanations for both tabs can be found in the chapters Field tab and List Tab.

 

In the view tab you have the possibility to display the field results or the field descriptions. After you inserted a field from the data explorer it will only show results at first. Go on Show all field codes in order to find out more about the field. You can undo this action by clicking on Show all field results.

 

With a click on the Highlight fields symbol all of the dynamic elements in your documents are selected, meaning all of the elements of the inserted fields that will change once you change the data in Act!.
