You can copy the value of an opportunity field into a different opportunity field and/or into any differenct Act! field.

 

 

Once you have set the task type Opportunity observer you click on Next.

 

You will get to the schedule options. Continue reading in the Trigger Time / Trigger Task chapter to find out how to proceed.

 

Click on Next.

 

The following window will open:

 

 

First you choose an Act! connection. You can read more about this in the chapter Connect DATA|SUITE with Act!.

 

Then you limit which field of which opportunities should be observed. Choose the status and then the field. Optionally you can enter a field value. If you do this only the field will be observed that have this value. Otherwise this field will be observed in all of the opportunities.

 

Now you can decide what happens when the value of that field changes.

 

On the one hand you have the possibility to copy the value of a custom source field, on the other hand you can copy the value of the observed opportunity field. You also have to choose which entity and field that value should be copied to.

 

As soon as you have set everything according to your wishes, click on Next.

 

 

Now click on Finish. You successfully created a task for observing opportunities.
