To connect one of your Act! databases with DATA|SUITE there are several possibilities.

You can either establish the Act! connection during the creation of a new export or import schema or during the creation of several kinds of FETCH|IT, BOOK|IT and SERVICE|IT tasks.

With the "+" symbol behind the Act! database field you can get to the following window:

The software will automatically suggest the Act! database you opened last and the user name you opened last. Of course, you can choose a different database.

 

Click on the three dots next to the Act! database fields.

 

 

You can now choose the Act! database you want to establish a connection to. After selecting it, click on Open.

 

 

You get back to the original dialog. There you enter your Act! user name and your password.

 

The extent of the exportable data depends on the access rights of the Act! user.

 

Click on the key icon for logging in. If the user name and password is correct you can click on OK.

You can add as many databases to DATA|SUITE as you want and with every new schema you can select the particular database with the v button.
