Observe opportunity activities

You have some activities in Act! that are assigned to an opportunity or to a contact/company/group connected with an opportunity. If you want to know when you have done an activity for this opportunity the last/first time you can find it out here. SERVICE|IT concatenates the execution date of the activity that was done the last/first time with a new field in the opportunity, e.g. "Last/first edited", and updates it regularly.

Once you have set the task type Observe opportunity activities you click on Next.

 

You will get to the schedule options. Continue reading in the Trigger Time / Trigger Task chapter to find out how to proceed.

 

Click on Next.

 

The following window will open:

First you choose an Act! connection. You can read about how that works in the chapter Connect DATA|SUITE with Act!.

 

After that you choose an opportunity field that the value of the activity field will be copied to. You have previously created the opportunity field Last/First edited in Act! (administrator activity).

 

For the activity field you enter the field whose value should be copied. This activity field should display the last/first editing date.

 

You can limit the activites that should be observed by choosing the Activity status and the Activity date.

 

The opportunities can be filtered by using their status.

 

You are able to observe the activities of only the current opportunity or also of the related contacts, companies and groups.

 

Now you click on Next.

Finally, you click on Finish. You successfully created a task for observing opportunity activity.
