Import|IT installation recommendations

Import|IT may use up to 40% of your processor load, in the same time SQL process may also consume about 40%. So if you are going to make imports while other users are working with ACT! we do not recommend installing ImportIT application on your server since this will slow both ACT! and Import|IT performance.  In this case you can install it on another PC and run jobs there, this will make the application working faster and your ACT! users will not experience any delays.

However, if you are planning to run imports at night, you can install the application on your server. This will not interfere with your workflow and will not cause any delays for your ACT! users. You can use ServiceIT available with Data Suite to run import jobs automatically.
