If the installation or the uninstallation of an addon is canceling the process of an addon with the following message
‚An other version of this Add-on is already installed or it has been installed incorrect…‘
you can proceed with the following steps:
1. Open the registry. (Please note that you should always create a backup of your registry before changing anything in it.)
2. Navgate to „HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall“
3. Open the „uninstall“ folder and search for the name of your addon (in our case it’s Dial|IT). You can search with Ctrl+F.
4. Type in the name of the addon and press enter.
5. You should find a key. In our case of Dial|IT it’s ‚{14A657A8-E7AD-4A0B-923C-015990FE3027}‘
6. You can close the registry now.
7. Open the command prompt as an administrator.
8.Type in msiexec.exe /x {14A657A8-E7AD-4A0B-923C-015990FE3027} <- this is the key you’ve searched for in the registry.
9. Press the ENTER-button and confirm the next window with yes.
10. The uninstallation should start now.
After the uninstallation you should be able to install your addon normally.
