A standard uninstall of ACT! Premium for Web Outlook Integration has failed. You must manually remove the ACT! Premium for Web Outlook Integration.
Important Note: If you have attempted to uninstall ACT! using the conventional method through the Windows® Control Panel, or if you are having issues due to a partial install, you may not find all of the files, folders or registry keys described in this article. If you find this to be the case, please proceed to the next steps below.
Stop the Outlook Integration Process:
If this process is running, you will need to stop it in order to properly remove all the necessary files. Use the following steps:

- Right-click an empty space on your Windows Taskbar, and then click Task Manager from the shortcut menu. The Windows Task Manager launches.
- Locate and click the APFW.Outlook.Service.exe entry.
- Click the End Process button. The following Task Manager Warning dialog box appears.
- Click Yes.
Removing ACT! Files and Folders:
This procedure involves renaming or removing folders. Follow the steps below:
- Launch Windows Explorer (or open My Computer).
- Navigate to the following location:
C:\Program Files\ACT\ACT for Web\ClientSrvs
- Rename this folder to \ClientSrvs.old.
- Navigate to the following location:
32 bit Operating System: C:\Windows\System32
64 bit Operating System: C:\Windows\SysWow64
- Locate and rename the Apfw9AB32.dll file to Apfw9AB32.dll.old.
- Close Windows Explorer (or My Computer).
Removing ACT! Registry Keys:
Now that you have removed or renamed the ACT! and SQL instance related items from your hard drive, you must remove all ACT! references from the Windows Registry. Follow the steps below:
- Click the Windows Start button, and then click Run. The Run dialog box appears.
- Type regedit into the Open field, and then click OK. The Windows Registry Editor launches.
Caution: We strongly recommend that you back up the system registry before making any changes. Incorrect changes to the registry could result in permanent data loss or corrupted files. Please make sure you modify only the keys specified.
- Delete the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ACT Premium for Web Outlook Integration
64 bit Operating System:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ACT Premium for Web Outlook Integration
- From the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDlls, or for 64 bit Operating system: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDlls delete the following files from the right pane:
C:\Program Files\ACT\ACT for Web\ClientSrvs\Office\Outlook\Act.Outlook.Message.Reader.dll,
C:\Program Files\ACT\ACT for Web\ClientSrvs\Office\Outlook\Act.Outlook.Service.AppCommon.dll,
