You are attempting to synchronize Sage ACT! with Outlook and receive the error message:
„Error retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {046C184F-2188-4C99-A95A-9C0DCDC19050} or {DBFD020B-D830-4FBE-A927-566B1F57A17A} failed due to the following error: 80040154“.
Note: This error can also occur when attempting synchronization with Google®. The following information still applies.

This error can result from two improperly registered library files. This issue can be resolved by running the ACT!_Outlook_Sync.bat attached to this article.
Follow the steps below:

- Close Sage ACT! and Outlook.
- Click on the ACT!_Outlook_Sync.bat file from the File Attachments section near the bottom of this article.
- Choose the option to save the file (not run)…save to your Desktop.
- When the file has finished downloading, go to your Desktop, locate the icon for the file, and double-click on it to run.
- When the Command Prompt screen appears, press Enter on your keyboard to continue.
- After a few seconds, you will receive a confirmation that the file has been successfully registered. Click OK.
- You will then receive confirmation that the second file has been successfully registered. Click OK to finish.
- Reopen Sage ACT! and Outlook and synchronize them to test.
Donload the ACT!_Outlook_Sync.bat.
