With the menu entry Group Panel you can group and sort your data records according to the entries of the chosen column.

 

In your tool bar you click on View Settings > Group Panel to display the group panel:

 

 

You will now see a row with the description Drag a column header here to group by that column. To hide the group panel please click on View Settings > Group Panel again.

 

 

Alternatively you can also open the group panel using the context menu of the column header.

 

In order to create a grouping according to the content of a specific column you click on the header of the desired column, keep the mouse button pressed and pull the header to the group panel. In the screen shot this happened to the column .

 

 

The order in a group can changed with a click on (ascending or descending order).

 

A right click on the column name - in our example - opens the context menu for this column.
